SEAGROVE - Adam Garland Comer, 81, of 401 King Rd., Seagrove, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 28, at Asbury Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Bryson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Comer was born in Moore County to Henry Clifford and Rosa Williams Comer. He worked in textiles for 20 years and was a truck driver for 27 years. He had been a faithful member of Asbury Baptist Church for 62 years. Mr. Comer was predeceased by his sister, Claris Brewer. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Thelma King Comer, of the home; one son, James G. Comer, of Seagrove, one daughter, Patsy Harris (Steve), of Siler City; two brothers, Clement Comer (Margaret), of Seagrove and Donald Comer of Mebane; two sisters, Wilma Wright of Seagrove and Carolyn Dixon of Asheboro; six grandchildren, James (Jimmy) Comer (Ai) of Emerald Isle, Ginger Harris-McGinty of Sanford, Bradley Harris (April) of Siler City, Tiffany Markewich (Stephen) of North Dakota, Adam Comer (Pryia) of Dayton, Ohio, and Stacy Hicks (Ben) of Siler City; 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. Memorials may be made to Liberty HomeCare & Hospice, 300 W.
