Agnes Mills Spivey

Agnes Louise Mills Spivey, age 100, of Asheboro, formerly of Seagrove, passed away on October 17, 2026.

Agnes was born on May 3, 1926, in Montgomery County to James and Agnes Ledbetter Mills. She worked at Bossong Hosiery for several years until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Clayton Spivey, son Charlie Spivey Jr., sisters Linda, Pauline, Helen, Frances, brothers James and Roy and a grandson.

She is survived by her daughter Sue Whatley of Asheboro, sons Ronald Spivey (Faye) of Asheboro and John Spivey (Sharon) of Asheboro, brother Sammy Mills of Troy. As well as six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 am with Rev. Jim Petty officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Agnes' s memory to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
