Albert Jason Shank

Biscoe - Albert Jason Shank, Sr., 74, of Biscoe, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Calvary Temple with the Rev. Josh Holder officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery with military rites provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Albert was born in Stanly County to the late Albert Hugh and Ida Mae Frye Shank. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a retired truck driver with Dean's Ready Mix in Albemarle. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and his part-time work with Lankford Protective Services. He especially loved talking with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lowvina Epley Shank, of the home; children, Mark Shank and wife, Beteena, of Star, Mandy Shank Lucas and husband, Mike, of Star, Ruth Shank Poplin of Albemarle, Albert J. Shank, Jr. and wife, Celena, of Concord; stepchildren, Rhonda Nicoletti and husband, Frank, of Candor, Donald Bogdan of Buffalo, NY, James Bogdan of Anderson, SC; brother, Thomas Shank of Richfield; grandchildren, Alan Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Jared Lucas, William Efird, Matthew Nicoletti, Zac Bogdan, Matthew Bogdan, Ryan Bogdan, Jason Shank, Hannah Shank, Sierra Bogdan; three great-grandchildren; and his beloved pet dog, Bella. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Calvary Temple, Biscoe. He will surely be missed.
