Alton Lee Greene

Biscoe - Alton Lee Greene, age 66, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, at ManorCare Health Services in Pinehurst.

Alton was born August 22, 1951 in Montgomery County to Carley Lee and Tessie (Allen) Greene. He was retired from Burlington Industries in Ramseur and was a member of Calvary Temple in Biscoe.

Alton loved the outdoors, gardening, and lawn care. He always enjoyed birds and loved his dog, Buster Bo. He was a family man and enjoyed seeing his nieces, nephews, and all family members who came to visit.

Alton was residing at ManorCare in Pinehurst. He always had a smile and a kind word to everyone he met.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jo Chriscoe Greene, father, Carley Lee Greene, and brother, Carley Clifton Greene.

He is survived by his mother, Tessie (Allen) Greene, of Biscoe; three sisters, Vickie Greene of Pinehurst, Linda Kennedy of Asheboro, and Wanda Shuping (Sam) of Candor; and one brother, Loren Greene (Donna), of Biscoe.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 3:00 – 3:45 pm on Wednesday, October 18, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm following the visitation in the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Kivett officiating. Burial will follow in the Britt-Deaton Family Cemetery, 365 Auman Road, Biscoe.
