Asheboro - Annie Gardner Davis, 79, of 2001 Lakeview Road, Asheboro, died Sunday, November 03, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 5, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born in Montgomery County to Jessie Clyde and Daisy Geneva Thompson Gardner. She was a member of New Birth Church of the Living God and a retired textile worker. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her step-sons, Roger Davis and Billy E. Davis. Surviving are her husband, James Mitchell Davis, Sr. of the home; Daughters: Vivian (Junior) Davis, Biscoe, NC Beth Davis, Sophia, NC Renetta (Rodney) Brown, Randleman, NC Step-daughter: Peggy (Bud) Yates, Trinity, NC Step-son: James Mitchell Davis, Jr., Asheboro, NC The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 4, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
