Star - Annie Wilder Freeman, 92, died Friday, January 8, 2016, at her daughter's residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 11, 2016, at Guiding Light Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, with the Rev. Edwin Moore, Rev. Clyde Allen, and Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment will be in Brown's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Franklin County to George Washington and Lessie Gupton Wilder and was a retired hosiery mill employee. She enjoyed reading her Bible, doing numerous crafts, and loving her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Freeman; daughter, Jewel Dunn; grandson, Larry Dunn; granddaughter, Angie Cranford; one sister, and six brothers.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Freeman and wife, Joyce, of Candor; daughter, Patty Allen and husband, T. B., of Star; sons, Frankie and Mike Freeman, both of the home; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bert, Shirley, and Barbara Jean; brothers, Bud, Thurston, Ferman, Jerry, and J. H..
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
