Ariel James Latham

Seagrove - Ariel "Earl" James Latham, 77, of 543 Hinesley Road, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Ulah Church of God with the Rev. Alex Shelton, Rev. David Hatcher and Robert Scott officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. He was born in Randolph County to Wilson Eanes and Shaye Luther Latham and was a machine operator at Luck's. Surviving are his wife, Jane Joyce Latham, of the home; daughters, Sharon Hutchins of Seagrove, Wanda Lucas and husband, Steve, of Asheboro; sons, Randy Latham, Seagrove, Michael Latham and wife, Cynthia, of Seagrove, Steve Latham, of Seagrove; sister, Sandra Lucas, of Asheboro; brothers, David Latham, Jerry Latham, Leon Latham, all of Star; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and at other times at the home of Sharon Hutchins, 718 East Main Street, Seagrove.
