Betty Jane Williams Simmons

Betty Jane Williams Simmons, age 84, of Eagle Springs, passed away on June 23, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice House.

Betty was born on May 25, 1940, in Moore County to Madison and Maggie Freeman Williams. Betty was a member of Providence Chapel Baptist  Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Simmons, son Johnny Williamson and sister Winda Cagle.

She is survived by daughters Pamela Seawell of Vass; Rhonda Britt of Eagle Springs and Daliliah Marion (Billy) of Robbins; son Donnie Williamson (Melinda) of Asheboro and sister Kathleen Brewer (Dewey) of Eagle Springs. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at Providence Chapel  Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to service from 8:30-9:30 am at Phillips Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation at 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
