Billy Pines Johnson

Billy Pines Johnson, 63, of 103 Rosa Drive, Star, died Saturday, May 16, at his residence. Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Tuesday, at First Baptist Church, Biscoe, with the Revs. Larry Wilson and Grady Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery with military graveside rites. Mr. Johnson was a native of Montgomery County. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. He was a disabled retired welder for K-M Machine Co., Inc. Surviving are: Wife - Barbara Overton Johnson of the home Two Stepsons - Larry Michael Britt of Asheboro and Scott Overton of Welcome Two Stepdaughters - Pam Seawell of Omaha, Nebraska and Crystal Carpenter of Thomasville Two Sisters - Kay Mathis and Audrey Smallwood both of Thomasville The family will receive friends from 7 - 9:00 pm, Monday, May 18, at Phillips Funeral Home.
