Bobby Deaton Troy - Robert Edward "Bobby" Deaton, age 62, of 736 Page Street, died Tuesday, September 08, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Love Joy UMC with Rev. Clay Davis, Rev. Grady Blakely, and Rev. Lonnie Poole officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He was a native of Montgomery County. He was co-owner/operator of Robert Deaton Insurance Agency. He was a member of Hunt's Plank Road Chapel, Gideons International, a life-long NY Yankee's fan, and D.A.K.'s Old Jocks Softball (Senior) Team. Surviving are: Wife: Connie Hyde Deaton, of the home Three Daughters: Leigh Ann Dickens, of Randleman Lisa Norris, of Darlington, SC Janelle Freeman, of Biscoe One Son: Eric Deaton, of Durham One Sister: Bronna Merritt, of Charlotte One Brother: Danny Deaton, of Orange Park, FL Eight Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 , at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
