Carlie Sanders

Carlie Sanders, age 88, of Biscoe, passed away on August 25, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Mr. Sanders was born in Montgomery County on June 6, 1938, to Woodrow and Gertis Campbell Sanders. Carlie enjoyed riding his Gator and spending time with his beloved pets Lucy and Missy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Wade Sanders.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Davis Sanders of the home; son Kenneth Sanders (Tammy) of Biscoe, sister Doris Bruton of Mt. Gilead, brother Larry Sanders (Anne) of Biscoe, grandchildren Kenneth Sanders Jr., and Jessica Stewart, as well as great grandchildren Reid Sanders, Sydnie Sanders, and Riley Sanders.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Biscoe Cemetery at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Phillips Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 am.
