Carolyn Lewis Coggins

Biscoe - Carolyn Lewis Coggins, 68, of 582 Coggins Road, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Coggins Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. Mrs. Coggins was born New Hanover County to Edgar Bowman Lewis and Dorothy G. Londeree Lewis. She was a retired pharmacy tech at Biscoe Drug and was a member of Biscoe Christian Church where she played the piano. She is survived by her husband, Jack G. Coggins, of the home; sons, Greg Coggins and wife, Lisa, of Biscoe, Tony Coggins of Biscoe; sisters, Barbara Jean Husk and husband, Lee, of New Bern, Nancy Jane Dail of Raleigh; brothers, Phillip Melvin Lewis of New Bern, Douglas Lee Lewis and wife, Bonnie, of Eagle Springs, Stephen Wayne Lewis of New Bern; step-brother, Sidney Everette, of Eagle Springs; granddaughters, Megan, Bethany, Katie, Brianna, Allison; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Gunner. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
