Carolyn Hurley Key

Carolyn Hurley Key, age 79, of Candor, passed away on August 13, 2025.

Born on June 18, 1946, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Bracie Pink and Bonnie Lynthacum Hurley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bobby Hurley, Charles Hurley, Leonard Hurley, and sister Barbara Sue Hurley.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Glenn Key of the home, and their daughters: Tammy Kellis (Larry), Kim Brady (Matthew), and Tina Cripps, all of Candor. She also leaves behind her sister Pansy Hurley of Biscoe, her brother Ricky Hurley of Troy, and her son-in-law French Parsons. Grandchildren: Connor Kellis, Brennan Cripps, Hollis Cripps, and Chandler Parsons; as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved so much and special caregivers Bradley and Crystal.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Candor Cemetery at 11:00 am.

The family will be receiving friends at 544 Cole Road in Candor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Carolyn's memory to Candor Volunteer Fire Department at PO Box 220, Candor, NC 27229.
