Ether - Carrie Mae Blackwell Greene, 88, of 144 Frame Shop Road, Star, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery, where she was a member. She was a native of Gaffney, SC and was a retired cloth spinner. She was predeceased in death by her husband, James Robert "Bob" Greene. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Lamonds of Star, Cathy Russell of Monroe; sister; Betty Jo Fowler, of Jonesville, SC; six grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and at other times at the home of Linda Lamonds, 171 Lamonds Drive, Star.
