Star - Charles William Threadgill, 61, of 153 First Street, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Brock officiating. He was born in Montgomery County to Albert Porter and Ina Bullard Threadgill. He was a saw mill machine operator. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mclean Threadgill, of the home; son, Darrell Threadgill, of Troy; daughters, Evelyn Dessellir of Troy, Doreen Goforth of Star, Katie Singleton of Seagrove; brothers, Weldon Threadgill of Concord, Albert Threadgill of Eldorado; sisters, Mildred Lowder of Troy, Ruth Goins Joyce of Ellerbe, Shirley Haywood of Troy; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 PM - 10:45 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Brock officiating.
