Charlie H. Sanders

Eagle Springs - Charlie H Sanders, Sr., 84, passed away at home on Friday, April 19, 2013, surrounded by his family. Charlie was a native of Moore County and spent his career working at Standard Mineral Talc Mine, Quality Mills, and as a plumber. Waiting for him in Heaven is his wife of 58 years, Nell Sanders, whom he lovingly referred to as sweetheart. What a beautiful reunion that must have been. Mr. Sanders is survived by son, Charlie H. Sanders, Jr. and wife, Julie Sanders, of Summerton, SC; daughter, Kathy S. Edmonds and husband, Mitchell P. Edmonds, of Cameron; four grandchildren, Jillian Durick and husband, John H. Durick III of Cameron; Teah Edmonds and Andy Elchert of Vass; Tuesday Sanders of Summerton, SC; and Amery Sanders of Summerton, SC; sister-in-law, Ruby Sanders Robinson of Eagle Springs; brother and best friend, Glen Sanders of Eagle Springs; and his "little buddy", his dog, Spot. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Brown's Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Michael Parenti officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. It was an honor to call him family. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Brown's Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Michael Parenti officiating.
