Christine Evans Morgan

Candor - Christine Evans Morgan, 86, of 326 Bowman Road, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Star UMC Cemetery with the Rev. Kay Boone officiating. Mrs. Morgan was born in Sumter, SC to Samuel Luke and Mary Lee Colter Scott. She was a member of Star UMC and was a retired textile worker. She was predeceased by her husbands, Pat Morgan, John E. Evans, Sr.; children, Johnny E. Evans, Jr., Shirley E. Saunders, and Bobby Lee Evans. Surviving is a brother, Thomas W. Scott, of Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Gregory S. Evans, Jennifer Saunders, Bobby Saunders, Jr., Tim Saunders, Kelly Blankenship; nine great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
