Carthage - Christopher "Chris" Paul Thomas, 40, of 5468 Old Carthage Road, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at UNC Hospitals. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2013, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Chris was born in Moore County to Stephen and Roxanne Williams Thomas. He was employed at Slane Hosiery Mill in High Point. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Williams, and grandmother, Ruth Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Cristie Davis Thomas, of the home; son, Ethan Thomas, of the home; parents, Steve and Roxanne Thomas, of Eagle Springs; sister, Steffanie Walter (Brian), of Fayetteville; brothers, Jeff Thomas (Susan), Matthew Thomas (Mica), all of Eagle Springs; grandmother, Faye Williams, of Eagle Springs; grandfather, Alfred Thomas, of Carthage; 15 nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
