The family of Clarence Alvin Broadway Jr. is saddened to announce his passing on March 21, 2026. He was 69 and a resident of Norwalk, Connecticut.
He was born on June 24,1956, to the late Clarence Alvin Broadway and Frances Britt Broadway in Spartanburg, SC. Clarence attended NC State University and then began a career in electrical engineering. He worked at several firms, most recently at Northrop Grumman. His work accomplishments include helping to create the software used on hurricane hunter aircraft and traveling to airports throughout the country to update their ground radar systems. Clarence enjoyed college basketball, cars, and music (especially live concerts). He owned at least 600 vinyl records. He loved cats. Many of his cats started life as homeless kittens or feral cats but then lived the good life with Clarence.
He is survived by his sister, Allison Broadway of Taylors, SC and many cousins and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Star, NC at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Biscoe Cemetery.
