Claude Davis Jr.

Claude Davis Jr., 76, of Asheboro NC, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Mr. Davis was born on May 1, 1947, in Montgomery County, NC. He was a devoted husband, loving father and adoring grandfather with two great grandchildren, who he loved greatly.

Claude raised three children while working at Klopman Mills, which became Ramtex in Ramseur.  He had many memories of people he met and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a fixer and proud of his job. He was a founding member and deacon of the Full Gospel Bible Church of God in Franklinville for over 20 years. Claude loved the people of the church; he loved God and was blessed throughout his life. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nonnie Davis and father, Claude Davis.  Along with his sisters, Martha Noah, Janie Welch, Betty Lucas, Nancy Greene, Claudine Greene, Annie Mae Batten, and brothers, James Davis, Lenny Davis, and Bobby Ray Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Simmons Davis of the home; his daughters, Rachel D. Heston and Angela Davis; his son, Michael Davis, and daughter-in-law, Wendy Davis. Grandchildren, Joseph Woods, Kaitlin Acosta, Jordan Acosta, Emily Heston, Chrysta Davis, Alyssa Davis, Jacob Davis, and Jesus Mondragon. Great grandchildren, Leon Mondragon and Sophia Acosta. He will always be loved and greatly missed by all, including his fur babies, Charlee, Brown, Diesel, Lucky and Button.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jack Kivett officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-1:30 pm.
