Mr. Clay Eugene "Otto" East, age 79, of 157 George Dr., Star, died Friday, May 07, 2010 at his residence. Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 10, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hubert McLeod and Rev. Billy Chriscoe officiating. Interment will follow in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He was a native of Stokes County born to James Madison and Hattie Bowman East. He was a retired upholsterer. Mr. East was predeceased by his son, Randy Clay East; brothers, Vestal, Claude, and Donald; and his sister, Mary Lou Cox. Surviving are his wife: Martha Lyon East, of the home Three Sons: Gregory East, Star, NC Gary East, Star, NC Marty East, Troy, NC Five Daughters: Cynthia Lucas, Mt. Gilead, NC Lisa McLean, Bladenboro, NC Angela Freeman, Troy, NC Regina Hawk, Star, NC Rhonda East, Star, NC Three Sisters: Treva Greene, Asheboro, NC Trudy Painter, Asheboro, NC Lillie Allred, Asheboro, NC 21 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Sunday, May 09, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
