Cleo Kellam

Mr. Cleo Kellam, 80, of 2423 Candor-Troy Road, Candor, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 27, at Long Hill Baptist Church, 637 Capelsie Road, Candor, with the Rev. Larry Beaver officiating and military rites conducted by the Randolph Honor Guard. Mr. Kellam was born in Guilford County to Nathaniel R. and Lucille Pascal Kellam. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and a retired textile worker. Surviving are his Wife: Frances Rose Kellam, of the home Sons: Robert Lee Kellam, Candor, NC Donald Cleo Kellam, Troy, NC Gregory Allen Kellam, Myrtle Beach, SC Kenneth Wayne Kellam, Troy, NC Daughter: Deena Spivey, Star, NC Sister: Veiona Jarrell, Star, NC 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 26, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
