Connie Sue Varney Lisenby

Connie Sue Varney Lisenby, 71, of Star, passed away on June 16, 2023, at her home.

Connie was born on July 16, 1951, in Pikeville, KY to Lonnie and Emma Jean Varney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Edward Lisenby.

She is survived by her husband James Lisenby of the home; son Steven Lisenby, sisters Helen Varney of Gastonia; Diane LeRoul of Lincolnton and Madeline Moore of Cherryville.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm at New Birth Church of the Living God with Rev. Bucky Davis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 pm. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church cemetery.
