David Rufus "D. R." Sanders, 79, formerly of Eagle Springs died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Autumn Care of Biscoe where he was a resident. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating. Interment will follow in Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Robbins, NC. Mr. Sanders was a native of Moore County born to Elzie Van and Loula Florence Brewer Sanders. He was a retired poultry farmer. Surviving are his two sisters: Elsie Williams, Eagle Springs, NC Edna Sheffield, Catawba, NC The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 - 3:30 PM, Tuesday, May 25, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
