Delilah Margie Gillis McCaskill

Biscoe - Delilah Margie Gillis McCaskill, 91, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Randolph Hospice House.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Baker officiating. Interment will be in McCaskill Family Cemetery.

Mrs. McCaskill was born in Montgomery County to Barna Alexander and Fannie Rebecca Batten Gillis. She was a retired pairer in hosiery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel David McCaskill; son, Jackie Paul McCaskill; daughters, Dorothy McCaskill and Mary M. Lewis; brothers and sisters, infant Wilford Gillis, Maxine Harris, J. D. Gillis, Lois Davis, June Gillis, Paul Gillis, and Charlie Gillis.

She is survived by her son, Billy Ray McCaskill, of Biscoe; brother, Bobby Gillis, of Seagrove; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-gandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
