Asheboro - Doris Jacqueline Hooker Morgan, 75, of 150 Bennett Farm Road, died Monday, January 31, 2011, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens. She was a native of Altavista, VA and was a retired CNA. Surviving are her sons, James (Butch) Needham of Robbins, Steven Needham of Ether, Tommy Hill, Jr. of Seagrove; daughters, Cathy Parker of Wallace, Terresa Morgan of Veedersburg, Indiana, Stephanie Hunt of Seagrove; brothers, Billy Hooker of High Point, Perry Hooker of Rocky Mount, Bobby Hooker of Shawnee, OK; sister: Shirley Carroway, of Watha; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
