Ector Britt Kinney

Ector Britt Kinney, 91, of Star, North Carolina died on Friday, January 30, 2015, at FirstHealth Montgomery in Troy. Born Friday, June 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John Gainey Britt and the late Viola Ector Eaton Britt. She was the wife of the late Alfred Kinney. She was a homemaker. Surviving are son, Ronald Kinney, Sr. and wife, Chloe, of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother, J.G. Britt and wife, Bonnie, of Star, NC; grandson, Ron Kinney. Jr. and wife, Molly, of Concord NC; great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Georgia Kinney; niece, Dawn Covington and husband, Warren, and children, Amanda, Britt, and Kurt Covington; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at New Hope Baptist Church, 153 New Hope Church Road, Star, with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment will be in Old New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 1, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star, North Carolina.
