Edgar Harrison Singleton

Star - Edgar Harrison Singleton, 97, of Ether Road, Star, joined his Heavenly Father and his beloved wife, Lena, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Randolph Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 21, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hubert McLeod and Robert Scott officiating. Interment will be in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Singleton was born in Moore County to Johnny Wesley and Hathie Bean Singleton. He was a retired furniture worker and minister. He showed his love daily for the Lord, his family, and his many friends. He enjoyed ministering to many people and traveling with his son to gospel singings. He will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his son, Paul E. Singleton, of Star; brother, Guy Singleton, of Randleman; grandchildren, Evangline, Ann and Steve; 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 Pm, Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
