Seagrove - Effie Mae Kennedy Davis, age 68, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point.
Mrs. Davis was born in Randolph County to Clyde Edward and Canarie Saunders Kennedy. She was a homemaker, a potter, and through the years she looked after home bound folks. She loved her animals, flowers, gardening, and especially loved fishing with her family.
She was a member at Maple Springs and dearly loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Edward Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Davis, of the home; two daughters: Audrey Thompson (Randal) and Leanna Marley (Danny), all of Seagrove, and one son, Bryan E. Davis (Johnna) of Seagrove; mother, Canarie Saunders Kennedy, of Seagrove; seven grandchildren, Kelli LeGrand, Alex Thompson, Katelyn Marley, Shannon Thompson, Kurt Marley, Charlotte Davis, and Annie Davis; two great-grandchildren, Brantson LeGrand and Karli LeGrand.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 15, 2017, from 4:30 - 5:45 pm at Maple Springs Baptist Church and other times at the home of Audrey and Randal, 2324 Chrisco Road West, Seagrove.
The funeral will be Monday at 6:00 pm at Maple Springs Baptist Church, 6012 Maple Springs Road, Seagrove with Rev. Howard McNeill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Effie was very thankful for the grace of God in her life and for her salvation in Him.
