Flora E. McCaskill Parmeter

Flora E. McCaskill Parmeter, 88, of Mansfield, formerly of Star, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield, Ohio, following a sudden illness. Flora was born on May 14, 1924, in Biscoe, NC, to James W. and Fannie L. Britt McCaskill. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. Flora was an "adopted" member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, and also attended Southside Baptist Church in Biscoe, NC. She is survived by four children, Joyce Lemonds of Jackson Springs, NC, James "Jimmy" (Nancy) Parmeter of Biscoe, NC, Ricky (Theresa) Parmeter of Piketon, OH, and Vickie (Pastor Randy) Raynes of Mansfield, OH; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mason Parmeter; one son-in-law, David Lemonds; and one grandson, Billy Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 2, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 216 S. Main St, Star, NC 27356 with the Rev. Randy Raynes officiating. Burial will follow in Biscoe Cemetery, Biscoe, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home, 224 Kanoy Street, Star, NC 27356.
