Gary Leonard Mabe

Gary Leonard Mabe, age 75, of Seagrove, passed away on April 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Gary was born in Randolph County to Vernon and Frances Miller Mabe. He was a proud US Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Gary was the founder of Blackstone Furniture in Seagrove. He was a lifelong member of Dover Baptist Church where he served in many capacities, including as a deacon. His hope was that everyone would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Mabe.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Lucas Mabe of the home; daughter, Christie McRae (David) of West End; son, Greg Mabe (Chrystal) of Seagrove; brother, Steve Mabe (Beverly) of Raleigh; and sister-in-law, Judith Mabe of Seagrove. Grandchildren, Drew, Matthew, Macie, Logan, and Reagan; and great grandchild, Sloane.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.

 A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Dover Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris Bouldin and Rev. Johnny Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by Randolph County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Dover Baptist Church, 2527 Dover Church Rd, Seagrove, NC 27341.
