Hattie Stewart Kennedy

Hattie Stewart Kennedy, 98, formerly of Biscoe, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hancock officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery. She was born in Randolph County to Madison and Emma McLeod Asbill and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Kennedy; three children, Tommy Mae Stewart, Vida Lee Mabe, Floyd Ray Stewart; step-daughter, Janice Williams. Surviving are her daughters, Maude Ray, Doris Goodwin and husband, Glenn, Irene Warner, Bonnie Goodwin and husband, Ronnie, all of Biscoe; son. Jack Stewart and wife, Jean, of Robbins; step-sons, Lloyd Kennedy and wife, Vernell, Charles Kennedy and wife, Pat, all of Robbins; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Glenn and Doris Goodwin, 209 Church Street, Biscoe.
