James Kenneth Epps

Biscoe - James Kenneth Epps, 64, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Bethel Church of God, where he was a member, with the Rev. Larry May officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.

Mr. Epps was born in Montgomery County to Leo Marshal Epps, Sr. and Viola VunCannon Epps. He was formerly employed at Piedmont Components in Mt. Gilead for 15 years. He loved his church family, especially his friend, Nash Shoe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Epps; step-son, Doug Sutton; and grandson, Jody Lowdermilk.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Asbill Epps, of the home; daughters, Michelle Lowdermilk (Jerry) of Seagrove, Christy Cruthis (Jarod) of Beaufort; sister, Betty Epps Elam, of Biscoe; brothers, Marshal Epps of Star, Randall Epps of Albemarle; seven grandchildren, Cory, Levi, Noah, Isabella, Alexander, Chloe, and Elise; two great-grandchildren, Ada and Evan.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Church of God, 1183 Chrisco Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
