Jesse Lee Davis

Jesse Lee Davis, 86, of 149 Jesse Drive, Star, died on October 15, 2010. His funeral will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, October 18, at Star House of Praise with the Rev. Phil Staton and Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Davis was born in Montgomery Co. on June 18, 1924 to Joe and Ida Davis. He was a retired saw mill owner and operator. He is survived by: Three daughters : Geraldine Beitzel and husband, Eric, of Star; Hilda Davis and husband, Dean, of Robbins; Ruth Ann Davis and husband, Danny, of Star. Two sons - Kelly Davis of Mt. Gilead; Joe Ed Davis and wife, Connie, of Star Two sisters - Mildred Clardy of Biscoe; Verna Douglas of Asheboro One brother - Ervin Davis of Asheboro Special friend and caregiver - Ida Pickle of High Falls 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 7 - 9:00 pm, Sunday, October 17, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star, and at other times at 149 Jesse Drive, Star.
