Johnsie Rouse Williams

Eagle Springs - Johnsie Rouse Williams, 87, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017, at Peak Resources - Pinelake in Carthage.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Star with the Pastor Chris Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Pine Rest Cemetery in Robbins.

Mrs. Williams was born in Moore County to Dewey and Mamie Horner Rouse. She retired from Ithaca Hosiery in Robbins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Paul Rouse.

She is survived by her husband, Elwood Williams, of the home; daughters, Joyce Saunders (Jesse) of Wilson, Janice Garner and Cindy Williams of Eagle Springs, Phyllis Davis (Kenneth) of Westmoore; sons, Arnold (Pam) and Odell of Eagle Springs, Kenneth (Lanie) of High Falls; sisters, Hester Garner and Crissie York; brothers, James and Cecil Rouse.

She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Johnny Saunders, Tim Garner, Sharon Cole, Karen Davis, Jennifer Bowe, Lisa, Jeff and Gregory Williams, Kelly Bartholomew, Katelyn Williams, Shandy Dunlap and Jessica Chalflinch. Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, Misty, Jeremy, and Tim.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.

Flowers are welcome, but memorials in her honor may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612.

She has left us with a lot of wonderful memories to hold dear to our hearts. She will be greatly missed.
