Joshua Allen Newsom

Star- Joshua Allen Newsom, age 29, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Newsom was born in Mecklenburg County on November 7, 1991, to Eric Allen and Susan Gibson Newsom. He was employed as a packager by a Plastic manufacturer. He is survived by his parents Eric and Susan Newsom of the home; sister, Erica Reza of Star and brother, Jeremy Newsom of Biscoe. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 7 from 2:00 - 3:30 pm at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 4:00 pm at Leach Cemetery in Star.
