Joyce Spivey Wallace

Joyce Spivey Wallace, 68, of Star, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Interment will be in New Center Christian Church Cemetery, 6448 New Center Church Road, Seagrove.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Randolph County to Coy and Eunice Parsons Spivey. She was a member of Star Halcyon Club and New Center Women's Fellowship. Her occupations included preparing samples for the hosiery industry and, most recently, innkeeper for the Star Hotel Bed & Breakfast.

Surviving are her husband, Richard D. Wallace, of the home; daughter, Myra Hicks, of Candor; brother, Gary Spivey, of Troy; grandson, Dalton Hicks; and, great-grandson, Tryntin Davis.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM, Wednesday, June 1, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
