Julie Simmons Shepherd, age 43, of 2556 Troy-Candor Road, Candor, died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Faith Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Martin E. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She was a native of Montgomery County and worked as a CNA in Home Healthcare. Surviving are: One Daughter: Ivie Lynn Simmons, of the home Two Brothers: Jeff Simmons, Randleman, NC Mike Simmons, Biscoe, NC Two Sisters: Mary Haywood, Candor, NC Karen Sibbett, Randleman, NC The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home and other times at the home of David and Mary Haywood, 2331 Candor-Troy Road, Candor.
