Junior "Bucky" Davis

Junior "Bucky" Davis, age 74, of Biscoe, passed away on August 6, 2026, at his home surrounded by his children.

Mr. Davis was born on January 13, 1952, in Montgomery County to Roy and Angelee Davis. Bucky proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for Montgomery County Code Enforcement as well as Pastor at New Birth Church of the Living God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Gardner Davis and brother Roy "Buster" Davis.

He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Duncan (Stephen) of Tabor City, Jessica Sedberry (Calvin) of Candor and Dawn Harris of Troy; sons, William Davis (Krystle) of Candor and Aaron Davis of Denton. Brother Johnny Davis of Eagle Springs, sisters Paulette Davis (Johnny) of Seagrove and Betty Jane Dennis of Robbins. As well as twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm at New Birth Church of the Living God with Bishop Donnie Robinette and Rev. Richard Lynthacum officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Bucky's memory to New Birth Church of the Living God.
