Larry Joe Greene

Biscoe - Larry Joe Greene, Jr., 53, of 199 Ball Park Road, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at his mother's residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Mike E. Holyfield officiating. Mr. Greene was born in Montgomery County to Larry Joe Greene, Sr. and Ernestine Donathan Greene Stevenson. He previously was a truck driver for Concord Consolidated Management. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son, Anthony Greene (Mackenzie) of Carthage; mother, Ernestine Donathan Stevenson, of Biscoe; sister, Kathy McLemore (Michael), of Wilmington. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of his mother, 406 Arrow Trail in Biscoe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204 or American Cancer Society, Relay for Life - Montgomery County, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
