Candor - Laura Tig Parsons Cook, 73, of 143 Parsons Drive, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, at FirstHealth Moore Regional. Funeral services will be held at a later date. She was born in Montgomery County to Colon Lee and Cennie Blanche Hall Parsons. She was a retired hosiery mill supervisor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Roger and Dexter Freeman. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Freeman Hicks of Candor, Catherine Louise Singleton of Shallotte; son, Colon Lee Freeman, of Candor; brother, Carvin Parsons, of Albemarle; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
