Star - Lewis Ray Allen, 66, of 914 South Main Street, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Old New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating.
Mr. Allen was a native of Moore County and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He was a 32° Mason/Shriner and an Eagle Scout. He was predeceased by his father, Edgar Lewis Allen, and grandson, Jacob Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Freeman Allen, of the home; daughters, Ginger Allen and husband, Junior, of Star, Gina Allen of Boone; mother, Faye Morgan Allen, of Star; sisters, Jane Allen, of Phoenix, AZ, Lois Allen of Star; grandchildren, Dylan Allen and Rylee Allen.
The family will receive friends at the home.
