Linda Mills Parsons

Linda Jean Mills Parsons, age 85, of Star, passed away on July 9, 2026, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Linda was born on November 3, 1940, in Montgomery County to James and Gertrude Ledbetter Mills. Linda worked as a medical secretary and also did insurance clerical work for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Parsons and son Larry Parsons Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Pam Callicutt (Jody) of Star; sister Agnes Spivey of Seagrove and brother Sammy Mills of Troy. Grandchildren Adam Callicutt (Jennifer) and Tracey Callicutt (Chase Dowd); as well as great grandchildren Emma Moss, Chance Dowd, AJ Callicutt and Cyrus Dowd.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Star at 2:00 pm with Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 pm. Burial will follow at Leach Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Linda's memory to Guiding Light Baptist Church at 3355 Spies Rd. Robbins, NC 27325.
