Linda "Kay" Rush

Linda "Kay" McCaskill Rush, age 77, of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She was born on February 3, 1948, to the late Bill and Rachel Maness McCaskill. As the only girl among four children, she often held her own against her three brothers: Alex McCaskill of Biscoe, Don McCaskill (deceased), and Gary McCaskill of Biscoe. She chose, however, to be more of a good-hearted soul. Kay was a very talented person who knew how to decorate cakes, sew and do many other crafts. Whatever she had she was willing to share.

She leaves behind her husband, Larry G. Rush of the home; son Larry W. Rush (Linda) of Archdale and daughter Marsha Norris (Eric) of Asheboro. Six grandchildren, Christian, Christopher, Jacob, Hannah, Ryan and Ethan, as well as four great grandchildren, Brayden, Jace, Colton and Maddie. Kay will be truly missed by all.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 am, followed by a graveside service at Biscoe Cemetery at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating.
