Louise Akers Hancock

Mrs. Louise Akers Hancock, age 84, of Autumn Care of Biscoe, died Saturday, February 06, 2010 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, February 8, at Asbury Baptist Church, Seagrove with Rev. Joshua Hughes, Rev. Jimmy Upton, and Rev. Clay Davis officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Baptist Church Cemetery. She was a native of Calloway, Virginia born to Steven Grover and Mary Etta Bryant Akers. Mrs. Hancock was a member of Asbury Baptist Church and was retired from Montgomery County Schools as a food service dietician. She was predeceased by her husband, Shuford L. Hancock. Surviving are sons, Tim Hancock of Charlotte, NC and Tony Hancock, of Star, NC; brother, Carol Akers of Roanoke, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 pm Sunday, February 7, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
