Louvene Cole King

Louvene Cole King, 84, of Biscoe, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor following a long illness.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 1, at Main Street Baptist Church, 2491 HWY 24/27, Biscoe with Dr. Jeff York and Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Sedberry Family Cemetery, Cedar Creek Road, Biscoe.

Mrs. King was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and very active in many capacities. She graduated from West End High School. She was a loving wife and friend to many. She enjoyed her weekly outings to her favorite restaurants. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nettie Cole, her brother, Ray Cole, and infant daughter.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George "G. B." King of Biscoe; brother, Darrell Cole of Goldston; sisters, Sylvia Watkins (Ed) of Eagle Springs and Wilmington, Joyce Smiley (Joe) of Eagle Springs; and, sister-in-law, Mary Cole of Hampton, VA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
