Lucille Evans Thompson

Seagrove - Lucille Evans Thompson, 70, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home & Rehab in Asheboro. Mrs. Thompson was born on May 10, 1942, in Pinehurst to Luther and Mae Freeman Evans. She was a homemaker, wonderful cook, and loving grandmother. She enjoyed dancing and collecting pocket books. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donnie Evans. She is survived by her husband, William B. Thompson, of the home; daughter, Brenda Hickman, of Star; sons, William Wade Thompson of the home, Dwight Cecil Thompson of Seagrove; grandchildren, Christopher Davis of Aberdeen, Olivia Hickman of Seagrove, Alayna Thompson of Seagrove; sister, Patty Hales and husband, Edward, of Sanford; brothers, Luther Evans, Jr. of Star, Johnny Evans of Sanford. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Howard McNeill officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. Thank you to all those who helped Mrs. Thompson enjoy her new home before she passed away. She's now in her heavenly home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Howard McNeill officiating.
