Lula Spivey Moore

Lula Mae Spivey Moore, age 84, of Seagrove, passed away on October 13, 2025, at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home. 

She was born on April 11, 1941, in Moore County to the late Harrison and Julie Comer Spivey.

Lula was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Lee Moore, and her sister, Myrtle Chriscoe. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Moore Spivey of Shallotte; her sister, Allene Moore of Star; grandchildren Tonya Callicutt of Asheboro, Julia McLaughlin (Mark) of Jacksonville, Jeremy Ritchie, Christin Ritchie, and Keisha Moore; as well as eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Chris Bouldin. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM. Burial will follow at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery.
