Margaret Latham Burr

Margaret Aileen Latham Burr, 76, of Troy, passed away on December 18, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional.

Margaret was born on October 9, 1947, in Montgomery County to James and Mary Hogan Latham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Calvin Burr, brothers, DC Latham, Dallas Latham, and Johnny Latham.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Burr (Stephanie) of Asheboro; Terry Burr (Crystal) of Star; and Gary Burr (Dusti) of Robbins; sisters, Nonnie Maness of Biscoe; Sandra Brock (Bobby) of Troy; and Dianne Callicutt and brother, Charles Latham of Troy. Grandchildren: Breanna Burr, Brooke Burr, Allison Burr, Kaitlynn Burr, Johnathon Brock-Burr (Haley), Jackson Brock-Burr; Jacob  Brock-Burr and great grandchildren Melody Brock and Sebastian Brock. She is also survived by her care giver Melinda Dorsett.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1:00-1:45 pm. Burial will follow at Eagle Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will be gathering at other times at the home of Terry Burr at 785 Griffin Farm Road, Star.
