Matthew Jerrill King

Biscoe - Matthew Jerrill King, 33, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2016, at Southside Baptist Church, where he was a former member, with the Rev. Jamie Sink and Rev. Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Star.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM, Friday, June 17, 2016, at the church and other times at the home of his mother in Biscoe.

Mr. King was born in Randolph County to Leonard Allen King, Jr. and Karen Thomas King.

He received his associates degree in auto body repair at Sandhills Community College in 2002 and studied auto mechanics at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford. He was employed by Epic Enterprises in Southern Pines.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Allen King, Jr.

He dearly loved and cherished his family and was a dedicated fan of Duke basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Arie Kathryn Byrne King, and daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth "Charli" King, of Biscoe; mother, Karen Thomas King, of Biscoe; brothers, Michael Allen King (Michelle) of Kennesaw, GA, Leonard Thomas King (Courtney) of Pinehurst, Jonathan Paul King (Jenny) of Thomasville; sister, Elizabeth Michelle Arnold, of Acworth, GA.
